Biography

Dr. Torben Kuseler is currently a research associate with the Applied Computing Department at the University of Buckingham, UK. His main responsibilities in this role are supervision of under-/postgraduate and PhD students, teaching programming, database and web-technology courses at different levels as well as development and optimisation of the IT research infrastructure of the Applied Computing Department.

Torben received his PhD in 2012 from the University of Buckingham. His PhD focused on "Localisation and obfuscation techniques for enhanced multi-factor authentication in mCommerce applications". Torben's main research interests are:

  • Software protection and Software security
  • Client Authentication on mobile devices like Smartphones and Tablet-PCs
  • Localisation techniques and location-based services (LBS)
